Polyphonic Ringtone Converter
User Guide:
is a polyphonic
ringtone converter and composition software, which allows
you convert MIDI to ringtone, mp3 to ringtone and wave
to cellphone polyphonic ringtone or compose your own
polyphonic ringtone.
Quick
start guide - a step by step guide to using Mobile Music
Polyphonic for the first time:
1. Open midi
file.
Click 'Open file' button to open MIDI file from
disk.
2. Adjust good position
for score.
Click 'Font' and 'Measure' buttons to adjust the
staff into good
fitting score. And move floating block in left
ruler and in top
ruler will help you to get excellent score view
like right image.

3. Save to polyphonic ringtone format.
Click 'Save as' button to save to mmf file (SMAF format)
or SP MIDI format.
4. Save part of score to polyphonic
ringtone format.
If you only like part music, now you should click 'Select'
button and do as following steps:
(1) Click 'Define first time'
button . And click at the previous place of first note.
Then from this first note, all notes will be shown in
red.
(2) Click 'Define second time' button . And click at
the behind place of the final note. Then only from first
note to final note will be shown in red.
(3) Click 'Save as' button and save to mmf file or sp
midi file.
Prepare to
write your own music for ringtone:
1. Click 'New file' button to
clear notes in score paper.
2. Setup channel basic data.
Click 'Staff sheet' to check channels that you want
to creat in new music file and setup musical instruments
and volume for every channel as following image.
Note: click 'Show/Hide' item
to show or hide all channels in score.
3. Adjust good position for score
at Quick start guide.
4. Setup Clef, Key signature,
Time for score.
a. Click 'Select' button and make sure not select 'Define
first time' and 'Define second time' button.
b. Click on the channel that you will setup above data(clef,
key signature or time).
c. Select Clef, Key signatrue or Time to setup correction
data as following images.
(Note: to select above function, click above button
and popup a image menu, then move the mouse to corresponding
button to popup corresponding dialog-box)
Operate to
the staff sheet:

1. 'Show/Hide' operation
Click 'Show/Hide' button to show or hide all channels.

2. Setup instrument
for channels
Click at 'Instrument name' item on channel, it will
show a pull-down box. You can select different instrument
name in 128 kinds. |

3. Setup volume for every
channel.
Click at 'Volume' item on channel, it will show
a scroll bar.
You can click up and down button to change the
number of volume.

4. Setup priority
in sp-midi format file.
Click at 'Priority in SP-midi' on channel. it will
show a scroll bar.
You can click up and down button to change the number
of priority in sp-midi.
Note: The priority number should not be same to
different channel. |

The process
of writing your own music:
1. Click new file button.
Click new file button to clear the score paper.
2. Select track number of score.
Click Staff sheet button to check how many tracks music
you will create. e.g., you will create 4 tracks music,
then you should check 1,2,3,and 4 tracks to show in
score window.
3. Select instrument for every
track.
(a). Click '---' at Instrument name item on one track
to show a pull-down list box.
(b). Click down the list-box, then select one instrument
for this track.
(c). Drag and draw track number to move the position
of this track showed in score window.
4. Setup Clef, Key signature,
Meter. Adjust the score view to good font size .
(a). Click 'Font size' and 'Measure' button to adjust
the staff into good fitting score.
(b). And move floating block in left ruler and in top
ruler will help you to get excellent score.
5. Notes operation.
Click Note Palette button , then many note buttons will
be shown at right side of window. Select proper note
and click at proper position for every note in score
paper. You can select 'the shortest duration value'
as note resolution when you write your own music.
6. The rest symbol will be showed
automatically.
7. Move notes.
When mouse cursor move on note, you could move the note
in uprightness or level direction.
8. Note sharp or flat.
When mouse cursor move on note, click mouse right button
to show a popup menu, and you can select the sharp,
flat symbol or revert note.
9. Enjoy your music.
After finishing write notes in score paper, click play
all tracks button to enjoy your music.
Convert wave
or mp3 file to ringtone:
1. Click Open file button to open wave or mp3 file from
your disk.
2. After open a wave or mp3 file,
all button or other controls to midi will be disable.
The Save mmf file button will be shown like following.
If the wave file is 2 channel
(16 bits) sample data.
The audio view will show 2 channel wave data.

3. You can click play button
to listen to the music. While playing music,
a float mark will move following the music as right
image. Click stop button
to stop the music.
4. Click the left button of the
mouse in the wave view to select the start of playing.
The red float mark will move to the new beginning position.
5. Click the left button of the
mouse at the start of wave data and drag right to the
end of certain position, you define a wave data block.
Play it and Mobile Music Polyphonic will only play this
section.
Only this section of wave data
will be played.
When you click save as button or save mmf file
button, only this section of wave date will be saved.
6. At the bottom of wave view,
there is a string to
show the mmf file length and time of current
selected wave data. If don't define block, the string
expresses mmf file length and time of whole wave
data. The image as following.
7. After select a part of wave
data as your ringtone.
You can click save mmf file button. MMFplayer
will play the music of the section again like right
image.
8. Click file -> Create SMAF
-> SMAF 16chords
just like as following image.
9. Then SMAF File Setting dialog-box
will popup as right image.
If the mmf file length showed in Mobile Music Polyphonic
is bigger
than Max Size(byte) like right image showing 48128,
you should
adjust this number to bigger than mmf file length. Then
click OK
to save your mmf file to your hard disk. The
maximum length of mmf file is 65KB (16 seconds).
10. Close the MMFPlayer program.
